Around 78% of the German population currently lives in cities, and the trend is rising. Or so it seems. However, the opposite trend is currently emerging: exploding prices in the rental and construction sectors and the shift to working from home since the Corona epidemic maked more and more people consider living in the countryside. Reason enough to wonder what it actually looks like "in the countryside".

For example, the Eifel: For three years, the artist Kai Rheineck traveled the Eifel with his camera. He photographed and wrote down the memorable, theastonishing and surprising things he encountered. The result is a book project consisting of 12 booklets, which are collected in a slipcase. Each of them is dedicated to a theme.
