Hellen van Meene – Portraits
Dutch photographer Hellen van Meene's subject are girls on the eve of adulthood. Her sensitive staged portraits show the difficult state between uneasiness and awakening, loss of self and new selfinvention. Meene's work has been exhibited in Amsterdam, London, Mailand, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and at the Venice Biennial.
