Illumination owes the success of these films in part to the visionary designs of French artist Eric Guillonn. This work brings together more than 1,200 of the artist's works from eight films and features concept art for popular characters such as Gru, the Minions, Dr. Seuss' Once-ler and Max from "Pets." Each chapter provides a glimpse into the artist's creative process and presents outtakes and ideas of what could have been - such as alternate designs for the Minions.
