This photo volume is a tribute to the generation in Sarajevo who were compelled to catch up virtually from one day to the next (ergo overnight) with the adolescence they had missed out on.
The book is not meant to be a moral admonition or a political indictment; it does not show the misery of the war as other publications on the subject do. Instead, Italo Morales' photographs simply explore the often laborious life of the post-war years. But at the same time they provide a fascinating view of one of the most exciting and at the same time most complex European capitals.
