The collection Speck is distinguished in its basic structure with the dialogue of the collector with artists and their works for years, sometimes also publicly. Again and again, thus opening up the possibility to hear new artistic positions of the past in today's context.

Not the museum aura of Kounellis' and Merz' erratic works are the focus of the publication, but the unbroken current remuneration of Arte Povera to the issues of our time.

The report drafted by Reiner Speck band gathered beside his own texts essays by the curators, depicts all works of the collection and contains their complete literary and exhibition-register for Kounellis and Merz. With an english translation of the texts in the appendix.
