Photographed over the course of a decade in the American West’s arid and sweeping terrain, Bryan Schutmaat's striking black-and-white photographs tell a powerful story of hardship, environmental destruction, and resilience, as well as of uncertainty and the desperate search for hope.

Both the softcover and hardcover editions were signed by the photographer on the last page of the book.
