Published to coincide with the exhibition of the same name at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (July 16 – October 16, 2022), the catalogue JEAN PROUVÉ: Constructive Imagination provides a complete introduction to the work of Jean Prouvé.

Organized thematically by GALERIE PATRICK SEGUIN and Yagi Design Studio, the exhibition presents over a hundred iconic pieces of furniture and architecture by Jean Prouvé, from the collections of Yusaku Maezawa, Patrick Seguin, Tamotsu Yagi and of the Prouvé family.

With a preface by Patrick Seguin, this publication contains five original texts by Reiko Hayama (who worked with Ateliers Jean Prouvé), Naho Tamura (New York-based designer), Mitsuhiro Kanada (structural engineer with ARUP Tokyo, professor at Tokyo University of the Arts), Tamotsu Yagi and Juliet Kinchin (former MoMA curator, department of architecture and design).

Richly illustrated with numerous images of the exhibition, the catalogue includes photographs of original works, drawings, and archive photographs and documents.
