What does it mean to be young? For the work IN MY ROOM by artist duo Feli & Pepita, young people provide an insight into their lives and emotions.
The book presents the results of a workshop that the artists held in summer 2024 in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut in Romania. 38 young people from 10 countries around the Black Sea came together to discuss current issues. The participants were interviewed and portrayed by Feli & Pepita. They address current issues such as war, racism and the climate crisis as well as the importance of family and friendship.
The artist duo's very personal portraits show young people in a time of transition and transformation, in which they are confronted with the challenges of growing up. In this phase of transformation, they are searching for their own identity and their place in the world and their family. In an interplay of staging and spontaneity, unexpected things happen during the shoot, and the authentic, self-confident person becomes visible.
The artist duo FELI & PEPITA, globetrotters rooted in Cologne, are known for their distinctive photography and a strong sense of storytelling. Their work is exhibited in solo exhibitions worldwide.
