The pictures in this book were formed by chance, whilst printing another title. Sheets of paper were passed through the offset printing press after the plate changes or to warm it up prior to printing, whilst waiting for ink adjustments to become visible. The ink then sat on the paper surface and within its fibres and pores, revealing these magnificent failures. These sheets are often fed through the machine several times to save paper. Overprinting occurs allowing new unorchestrated images to emerge. I rescued these pictures from the printers recycle bin since insufficient for the original book they were intended for.
