For the first time ever, the Musée d’Art moderne de Troyes is presenting roughly seventy masterpieces by the greatest French modernist painters in a German museum. The works all come from Pierre Lévy’s legendary art collection, the generous donation of which lead to the founding of the museum in 1982. With works by Rodin, Degas, Braque, Derain, van Dongen and many others, this extraordinary volume unites the individual movements of French modernism and promises a veritable explosion of colour.
